The entire experience was incredible thanks to a very professional staff and an aircraft that is down right fearless. The shark type teeth decals on it are a complete understatement! I thought that repeated  horizontal spinning was something only a helicopter could do. What a ride! Thanks again Otter!

Group Event: Introduction to Air Combat

This experience was too awesome to describe. The briefing was professionally done by Otter–despite no previous experience with aerobatics or combat flight, I felt like I understood what we were trying to do … Otter walked me through the drills in the air very clearly and with patience. I felt extremely safe at all times. It was clear that he was not only an accomplished, talented pilot himself, but he was also a great teacher and looked for reasons to give positive feedback. The ground crew of Faye and Cristina were also great and hugely accommodating. I would especially recommend this experience to other private pilots who, like me, have been cruising around in civilian ships, fat and happy, thinking they were flying. Put real fighter jocks together with a couple of Extra 300L’s in a very professional atmosphere that is FCI, and you’ll experience flying like you’ve never before imagined. Great work and thanks, Otter, BJ, Faye and Cristina!

Added A Whole New Dimension To My Life

Dear Faye,

I would like to thank all of you at Fighter Combat, but especially you, Tara, BJ and Otter, for one of the most memorable days of my life.

I really didn’t know what to expect when we made the special trip from Mexico for the “Flight of my Life”; – a 60th birthday present from my wife, Charlotte. However, the total professionalism throughout the whole process – the booking, the welcome and relaxed atmosphere at your offices, the clear and precise pre flight briefing by Otter, the strapping in and final safety instructions by your good self and finally the 45 minutes flight with BJ all added up to one absolutely amazing experience. The pure joy of rolling and dancing around the sky in an inordinate array of attitudes with what appeared to be such ease and freedom added a whole new dimension to my life. This really was flying and must be the closest one can get to the real thing as is humanly possible. I can only hope to come back as a bird in the next life.

So many thanks once again to BJ and Otter for sharing their passion and incredible expertise of flying to give me what you very rightly describe as the “Flight of your Life”!

Video: Father & Son Air Combat Adventure

This father-son team showed up to take on a different twist in family adventure. Dale, the son, is a recent graduate of the F-16 school at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, Arizona USA. These guys had a great time and both flew the Advanced Air Combat Mission at Fighter Combat International. We hope you enjoy their comments. Here’s what they had to say …

JOHN: Hi! My name is John Weller. I’m from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I just finished 2 days of flying here at Fighter Combat International. I did aerobatics yesterday and air combat today.

I started this journey 2 years ago. It was gift and took some time to get out here and get it done. I got a gift for me and a gift for my son so we could fly against each other in air combat.

I’ve got to say this is the coolest thing we’ve ever done. Go ahead Dale …

DALE: My name is Dale, his son, and hail from Chicago but right now I’m out here at the air force base (Luke Air Force Base, Phoenix Arizona) that’s in town. I just finished up doing some F-16 training and this is a blast! It (Air Combat at Fighter Combat International) is the closest you can come to actually taking the time to get in a fighter jet. These are fighter-like aircraft with real fighter pilots and it’s awesome! I watched him (John) do aerobatics yesterday and today we did some air combat. We beat up on each other … it was blast. Really a great time!

JOHN: You don’t have to be a pilot. They teach you everything. It’s the safest environment I’ve ever been in. Great bunch of people. We had some issues that they (Fighter Combat support staff) really were helpful with. Great on the phone, great with all the arrangements … couldn’t ask for a better experience.

It’s an investment but it’s an investment that you’ll hold for the rest of your life. The best money I’ve ever spent.

DALE: Yeah. I can’t say enough about the staff and everything. They really take care of you and the experience is really all about you and you having fun so don’t be intimidated by it. So go out and have a good time and these memories will last forever.
