Fighter Jet Rides are fun, without question. But what exactly are the performance advantages of riding in a fighter jet over the world’s highest performance certified aerobatic airplane, the Extra 300L? Well, fighter jets have the Extra 300L beat on top speed and missiles, but not much else. Having said that, as we are all former military fighter pilots (yes, having flown the fighter jets below), we fully admit we’d MUCH rather go to war in an F-16 or F-18 than an Extra 300L. In fact, we would insist upon it! However, when it comes to actual performance, you might be surprised at how well the Extra 300L holds its own. Enjoy the chart and share!

Fighter Combat International Named in the Phoenix New Times “Best of Awards” for their Fighter Pilot Air Combat Adventure

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) May 4, 2011 – The Phoenix New Times recently polled a group of creative types and asked them to write about their favorite Phoenix adventure offerings. As a result, the paper compiled a “Best of Awards” for recreational activities in the greater Phoenix area and the nominees were certainly impressive. Ranking amongst the top activities on the list, as the “Best Way to Get Your Wonder Woman On,” is Fighter Combat International’s fighter pilot air combat adventure package – a highflying aviation adventure like nothing else.

Weaved within the sports and recreation section and embedded between the “Best Place to Improve Your Daredevil Skills” and the “Best Place to Fly Like a Superhero,” Fighter Combat International’s fighter pilot adventure was named as a ‘top gun’ in Phoenix’s local adventure scene.

What makes this aviation adventure one of the best in the land is the fact that this is not a flight simulation; it’s a unique chance to actually take the controls of an Extra 300L aerobatic plane and engage in acrobatics and intense competitive dogfights with other airplanes.

Depending on the package (ranging from $485 to $3,815), this extreme gift can fulfill a wide range of flying fantasies.

The basic experience puts you  in the cockpit with an actual aerobatic pilot while they perform tumbling barrel rolls, hammerheads and other dazzling tricks, while the higher priced packages allow you to actually handle the controls as you engage in real dogfights with simulated air-to-air weapons.

No matter which of the packages you choose, this extreme gift offered by Fighter Combat International is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a fighter pilot or air show pilot for one day of adventure and Arizona’s Phoenix New Times has recognized this experience amongst the top ways to kiss the sky and “Get Your Wonder Woman On” as you make your wildest dreams come true.

Fighter Combat Birthday Present for Her – Aerobatics http://www.fightercombat.com/fighter-combat-birthday-present-for-her-aerobatics/ http://www.fightercombat.com/fighter-combat-birthday-present-for-her-aerobatics/#comments Tue, 03 May 2011 15:14:10 +0000 pransbury http://www.fightercombat.com/?p=1644 Kelsey and her boyfriend, Brian, showed up today looking for an adrenaline-filled adventure. Kelsey went first taking the flight right to the limit doing every aerobatic maneuver discussed in the briefing and then some! Loops, rolls, hammerheads, inverted flight, tailslides, lomcevaks, tumbles, knife edge spins, flat spins, inverted spins and even the Outside Loop … she did it all! Great job Kelsey … I’m sure Brian will admit you were a tough act to follow today.

Here’s what Kelsey had to say …

Video Transcript

“My name is Kelsey Snyder. I’m from Arizona. I did the aerobatic flight today (Fighter Combat Flight of Your Life Super Ride). It was a gift to myself for my birthday.
It was an incredible experience … the most amazing thing I’ve ever done. It’s safe. The instructor is incredible … he talked me through everything. He was vocal with me, made me feel safe, made me feel like I knew what I was doing.

“It was definitely the thrill of my life. Everybody here was so helpful and made me feel right at home. They didn’t make me feel weird or awkward coming here and definitely answered everything I needed answered and they helped me get through this.
It’s a great experience!”

Adrenaline Pumping Adventure Flying. Dream Come True. http://www.fightercombat.com/adrenaline-pumping-adventure-flying-dream-come-true/ http://www.fightercombat.com/adrenaline-pumping-adventure-flying-dream-come-true/#comments Fri, 22 Apr 2011 18:43:20 +0000 fhamilton http://www.fightercombat.com/?p=2500 No one can describe what a guy goes through when you do this.  It is so much fun and the adrenaline is pumping, before you know it, it is over—that’s why I went twice!!!

Otter is an excellent pilot and instructor.  He made me feel very comfortable in the maneuvers that we did,  I wanted to do them all and we did them all including an 8-G turn (awesome!!!!!)I want to thank all the staff for the great time and I will be back soon, I hope.  I have always dreamed and swore that I would fly in a fighter jet before I die.  To me this is better than that because this plane has no limits.  We cannot do what we did in this plane that you can in a fighter, with the conversations I had with Otter, F-18 Pilot (lucky dog!!).  Yes I am jealous.  He made me realize that for me this is my dream come true.  Sorry about blabbing on and on.  I could go on for hours-if you have a chance to do this in your lifetime my advice, DO IT!!! money well spent and a lifetime experience that you will never forget!

A great way to break up the monotony of flying straight and level! http://www.fightercombat.com/a-great-way-to-break-up-the-monotony-of-flying-straight-and-level/ http://www.fightercombat.com/a-great-way-to-break-up-the-monotony-of-flying-straight-and-level/#comments Tue, 28 Dec 2010 19:41:29 +0000 fhamilton http://www.fightercombat.com/?p=2424 It has been 4 days since I took the FLIGHT OF MY LIFE, and I STILL cannot stop thinking about it!  I was impressed with the staff from the moment I called to book my flight.  They knew who I was and were very flexible with my scheduling.  Once I arrived for my flight, I was immediately greeted with professionalism and courtesy.  The pilots are top notch and make you aware early on that they have a lifetime of flight experience that will ease any nerves you might have before your flight.  The aircraft and all equipment used during the flight are obviously very well maintained, and I never questioned the airworthiness of the aircraft at any point.

I hold a private pilot certificate but have never done any flying like this before!  I was allowed to observe then fly every single maneuver from the very start.  I still cannot believe the things I did in that airplane!  This is definitely a great way to break up the monotony of flying straight and level!  Not only was it the most fun I have ever had, I feel that I am a more confident and safe pilot after this experience.  I will be recommending this place to everyone and will return as soon as I can!  I am tempted to do the FLIGHT OF YOUR LIFE again but the other packages look great as well.

Finally, I would like to thank my instructor pilot, Paul “BJ” Ransbury for not only the flight but also his professional contribution to the aviation world.  His eBook on wake turbulence is a must read for all pilots.  It’s easy to get the sense that he truly cares about promoting safety among those in aviation.  I can’t say enough great things about this organization.

Thanks again!
