Kelsey went first taking the flight right to the limit doing every aerobatic maneuver discussed in the briefing and then some! Loops, rolls, hammerheads, inverted flight, tailslides, lomcevaks, tumbles, knife edge spins, flat spins, inverted spins and even the Outside Loop … she did it all! Great job Kelsey … I’m sure Brian will admit you were a tough act to follow today.

“My name is Kelsey Snyder. I’m from Arizona. I did the aerobatic flight today (Fighter Combat Flight of Your Life Super Ride). It was a gift to myself for my birthday.
It was an incredible experience … the most amazing thing I’ve ever done. It’s safe. The instructor is incredible … he talked me through everything. He was vocal with me, made me feel safe, made me feel like I knew what I was doing.

“It was definitely the thrill of my life. Everybody here was so helpful and made me feel right at home. They didn’t make me feel weird or awkward coming here and definitely answered everything I needed answered and they helped me get through this.
It’s a great experience!”

Santa Claus is a regular client at Fighter Combat International. Unlike other years where he was always under training with one of our military fighter pilots, this year he takes the aircraft up solo for the first time! Fortunately, Bruce Haffner with Good Morning Arizona TV3 had a chance to grab Santa just as he was finishing his calisthenics prior to jumping in the cockpit. Also shown is a clip from Santa’s earlier in-flight training while in formation with the TV3 helicopter.

If you see Santa Claus pulling up over town this year, doing an aileron roll followed by a hammerhead then landing lightly and precisely on your roof-top, well then you’ll know it’s the REAL Santa!

For this particular get together, everyone participated in the pre-flight briefing and then, after the briefing and before the parachute safety briefing, two names were selected at random to determine the lucky participants. Congratulations to Queen Creek, Arizona, Rittenhouse ward members Bryan McClure and Joshua McRae!

The briefing was professionally done by Otter–despite no previous experience with aerobatics or combat flight, I felt like I understood what we were trying to do … Otter walked me through the drills in the air very clearly and with patience. I felt extremely safe at all times. It was clear that he was not only an accomplished, talented pilot himself, but he was also a great teacher and looked for reasons to give positive feedback. The ground crew of Faye and Cristina were also great and hugely accommodating. I would especially recommend this experience to other private pilots who, like me, have been cruising around in civilian ships, fat and happy, thinking they were flying. Put real fighter jocks together with a couple of Extra 300L’s in a very professional atmosphere that is FCI, and you’ll experience flying like you’ve never before imagined. Great work and thanks, Otter, BJ, Faye and Cristina!
